We have been able to actually generate extra volume: Sanjay Chandra
3 million square feet of real estate in the third quarter, that is a great figure coming in, the company of course confident of meeting targets going ahead, tell us how is the volume picture looking currently and also how do you think this will continue going ahead?
The volumes what we have seen is much higher than a peak year of 2007 and mostly in the housing side and mostly by pricing the product below the customer expectations we have been able to actually generate that extra volume now.
You have constructed close to 10 million square feet in the first half of FY10, is 3 million square feet in Q3 a tad disappointing in comparison?
Not really, actually if you look at in value terms, last quarter has been very healthy. Last quarter, mix of the product was such that it was more of villas and lot of plotted development which give us a value kicker also. So in terms of value, we have achieved about 5500 crores in the nine months so far and the guidance was about 6000 crores for the financial year. So we have got three more months to reach that. So in terms of value we will definitely surpass our guidance.
