Gurgaon Properties : Building on his business dreams
Hes got big dreams for the real estate business and in the last five years, he has converted some of them into brick and mortar reality. He is 33-year-old Pankaj Bajaj, Managing Director of Eldeco Infrastructure & Properties Ltd, EIPL. His journey into the rough and tumble world of construction happened quite by accident. This IIM graduate had his mind set on teaching at Harvard, but matters of the heart made him change course!
So after a stint at consultancy with Feedback Ventures, he made his first big move. In 1996, he joined Eldeco Housing & Industries Limited as a whole-time director and in 2000 branched out to form his own company, Eldeco Infrastructure & Properties Limited with an initial investment of Rs 5 crore.
Within just five years of its inception in the market, Eldeco Infrastructure & Properties has notched up a strong position in the booming Noida & Greater Noida market. Gurgaon and Faridabad are also on their radar. Expansion has meant long hours and teamwork and when your wife is part of the team, the balance between work and home sorts itself out. So along with wife Bandhana, the couple are trying to deliver dream homes to savvy customers, not just in the metros but in the second tier cities as well.
