In a high-end luxury apartment, aesthetics govern the architecture whereas; in middle-segment apartments the focus is on effective utilisation of space. But with rising real estate prices, all new supply in south Delhi carries such a high price tag that new properties gets labelled as super luxury. Simultaneously, and again due to rising real estate prices, the space available in these luxury apartments is decreasing. The situation demands that aesthetics of these luxury flats justify the hefty price tag, and the builders also have to ensure that no space is wasted.
The apartments at K-117, Hauz Khas Enclave, are good example of how these two different requirements have made way for each other. The apartments are 2,500 sq ft, which is big if not exactly extravagant. However, this space comes at Rs 6 crore. A compromise, happy or otherwise, is imperative.
How to reach
To reach the site, you can come from either the Ring Road or the Outer Ring Road. Either ways, reach the IIT Flyover on the Outer Ring Road and start moving towards AIIMS. Keep driving straight on the Aurobindo Marg till you reach the Padmini Enclave bus stop. From here turn left into Hauz Khas Block C. Drive a little ahead and you will reach Block K. Once you enter it, you simply have to ask for directions to house number K-117, and take it up from there.
