Development authority for Gurgaon on lines of Noida
Gurgaon, April 10: The Haryana government is actively considering the setting up of separate development authorities for Gurgaon and Faridabad, on the pattern of Noida Development Authority.
This was stated by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda while talking to mediapersons shortly after launching the intensive pulse polio campaign in Gurgaon on Sunday. He said the final decision regarding the setting up of development authorities for Gurgaon and Faridabad would be taken shortly.

Reply to a question, Hooda said that aneducation city, on the pattern of Oxford University, would be set up at an appropriate place in the State so as to provide educational facilities of high quality. Twenty five per cent of the seats would be reserved in this Education City for the students hailing from Haryana and added that the university would benefit not only the students from Haryana but also from adjoining areas such as Delhi.
The CM also assured adequate supply of power and water in Gurgaon city during the summer season. He said the available resources of the state would be utilised judiciously and there would be no shortage of water and electricity in the area.
