Delhi Metro train will be extended to Gurgaon
Chandigarh,Plans are afoot to extend New Delhi’s ambitious Delhi Metro Rail project to Haryanas burgeoning industrial city of Gurgaon.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda cleared a proposal to this effect at a meeting of his cabinet here Monday evening.
The cabinet agreed in principle to a proposal by the Haryana town and country-planning department to include Gurgaon in the Delhi Metro Rail project by providing a link from the Haryana-Delhi border.
The Haryana government will formally convey its decision on the metro rail for Gurgaon to the central ministry of urban development and the Delhi government.
