US firm opens another BPO centre at Gurgaon

Trinity Business Process Management Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based Trinity Partners Inc, Tuesday opened a second business process outsourcing (BPO) facility in this IT boomtown in Haryana.

The move comes within 14 months of Trinity setting up operations in Gurgaon. The new facility would house over 300 seats at full utilisation.

INVESTORS might want to take a second look at a recent survey that rated Gurgaon ahead of Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad as most preferred IT and BPO destination. The factors that clinched the top slot — workforce and proximity to airport.

The study, conducted by NeoIT, had rated Gurgaon most competitive among 27 cities in the country. The organisation evaluated the cities on four key parameters — infrastructure, finance, catalyst and people.

SS Group has a project called South End Floors

SS Group has a project called South End Floors in Sector 48/49, Gurgaon. This project comprises of independent floors. Each plot has three housing units. The size of each floor varies from 1550 to 2000 sq ft. The average price here is Rs 1800 per sq ft.

This project is located within a compound with a proper boundary wall and provision for security. For shopping needs, there is Omaxes Plaza Mall nearby. Altogether there are 1000 units in this project of which possession has already been given for 500. The total price varies from Rs 25 to 35 lakh.

Noida hot, Gurgaon hotter

Most people who thought of owning a dream home but had limited financial options opted for one in the National Capital Region. Of these, most preferred to buy flats instead of land or plots. After all, it needs a huge amount to buy a plot and then build a home. Another reason for this migration to NCR specially Gurgaon and Noida was the Capital becoming more congested and polluted.

A majority moved to these two townships and it resulted in property prices escalating phenomenally in 2004. Says Trilok Chand of Royal Estate Deals, Gurgaon and Noida were hot as prices in Delhi are unaffordable for many. Also, there is lack of land here. A large number of MNCs established residential setups for their employees at these two places apart from setting up offices there.

The choice for most buyers falling in the middle income group was limited to either two, three or four bedroom flats for which they depended heavily on home loans. Wg Cdr RK Maheshwari of Parsvnath says, “Gurgaon and Noida were in great demand last year. People also lapped up property at Indrapuram in Ghaziabad because the prices were competitive.

ITC upgrades hotel brand

Fortune Park Hotels Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of ITC Hotels Ltd, is ready to open its 15th hotel, in Gurgaon, on December 31.

Leveraging its brand presence across 13 destinations in the country, Fortune Park has upgraded its new 83-room, mid-market property which will be known as Fortune Select Global hotel. The room rates at the hotel will vary between Rs 4,950 and Rs 5,450, roughly 25 per cent more than the average rates at other Fortune hotels.

Mandeep S Lamba, president, Fortune Park, says: “It’s a logical extension of our brand and all our properties in the metros and mini metros will be rebranded as Fortune Select hotels.”

The Gurgaon hotel, designed by Total Integrated Design of Singapore, is located in the Global Park business complex.
